After a hiatus of a year, I decided to visit them this weekend thinking Haloween might be a fun time to be there. At the same time, they have raised prices across the board from the gift shop prices, to restaurants, to the hotel rates, to the max bet on most slot machines making the place unafforable and out of the reach of most patrons. And they have made many 'improvements' to their property to make it more glamorous and glitzy. In addition to Go Kart tracks and a Zip line, they are now adding a water park. Like many in the gaming industry, Foxwoods is shifting to an 'entertainment' model trying to transition to a vacation destination like Disney World.
